About Hunter Security
Hunter Security is a Southern California based security company specializing in contract security guards and patrol service throughout Southern Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Our reputation for being a well-trained and supervised company largely stems from a combined 37 years of police and military experience from both the owner Jay Hunter and Vice President Scott Shonts.
Jay Hunter graduated with honors from Whittier College and served as a police officer in the Los Angeles area before founding Hunter Security. Jay is known for his meticulous research and development of custom-designed post orders, standing operating procedures and development of account specific safety and log in/out procedures based on the most current regulations from Fire, Homeland Security and other pertinent sources.
Our Vice President of Business Development Scott Shonts is also a former police officer as well as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Scott has harnessed his military logistics training, police commercial enforcement and cargo recovery experience and years on patrol to become a leading expert in trucking, cargo, warehouse, freight forwarding and commercial property security.
The combination of extensive experience and broad expertise at Hunter Security has not only allowed us to develop and provide top-tier security services for our clients, but has also earned Hunter Security a solid reputation in the communities we work in as well as among many chambers of commerce we belong to and the law enforcement agencies we partner with.
What sets us apart from the competition...
...is that we now offer the most advanced and up to date Video Verification Camera Systems available. These Cameras are linked to our new State of the Art Monitoring and Dispatch Center. This new Dispatch and Monitoring Center let’s us monitor your property 24/7 and to immediately dispatch our Patrol Service or notify police if there is a problem at the site. This alone saves you money from False Alarm Charges. Other Security Companies rely on 3rd party monitoring and dispatch centers to send them the information wasting critical time.
